Mud Desert: Little Rann of Kutch: The world civilization has not seen number of such drastic disaster as it is in the case of Rann in India. It shows how a civilization ruined with an earthquake. The land which was a part of Sea becomes Mud Desert. According to research and the local stories the Mud Desert of Little Rann of Kutch was the part of Arabian Sea before some 1- ½ centuries a go. Even these days we can see destroyed ports, parts of Light house, points to keep ship etc in villages like Jinjhwada, Khod and Tikar etc.

Wild Ass Sanctuary: The Wild ASS (Equus hemionus khur, / Gudkhur) seen in the Rann, hails from the horse family with similar strength and grace of horse find no where in the world. This is one of the largest sanctuaries in India with an area of 4950 sq. kms. Other species of animals seen are Blue Bulls (Neel-gai), Chinkara and the Black Buck and the carnivores such as Wolf, Jackals, Foxes, Jungle-Desert Cat and different species of Poisons Snakes.

Water Sources inside the Rann: In the land of mud desert and salty water, there is only one point of potable sweet drink water point (Vechrajji Bet) in side the Rann. This is the source of drinking for all the Flora and Fauna in the Rann.

Migrating Bird Safari: The sanctuary is a bird watchers’ paradise in winter. It provides an important feeding, breeding and roosting habitat for a large number of local and migrating birds due to its strategic location on bird migration route and its connection with the dynamic Gulf of Kutch. According to an estimate about 70,000-75,000 birds nests in an area spread over 250 acres, especially Flamingos and to name some other are Houbara bustard, sand-grouse, desert chat, desert wheatear, nine species of larks, quails, gray francolin etc . A memorable experience was to go wading knee-deep into the warm waters of a salt marsh with thousands of flamingos around.

Sights from Ancient India: The killa of Zinjwada Jhilkeswar temple, sculptures from great ancient MORYA dynasty. The killa of Zinjwada is unique in nature as it is the presentations of Hindu thoughts and ideas without any sort of other influence and reference.

Salt Making Process in the Rann: India holds one of the important positions in the world salt market. Gujarat province produces 70% of the total salt produced in the country. And out of total salt production in Gujarat, 70% salt produced in Little Rann of Kutch, which is unique in nature. The salt is produced with the use of ground water: the type of which is not found in any where in the world, where approximately 100,000 people are involved in the process of production.

Organic and Horticulture Farming: The Farm and Resort are developed in the land which is believed to be of no use. To mark a tourist spot and a place of farming, organic farming and horticulture is developed in this barren land to create awareness- acceptance to save the environment and develop organic farming in this area. This is the only land in the area where one can see flora and vegetables of more than 100 species procured. The unique feature of the farm and resort is, it provides the visitors to pick the fruit and vegetables of their choice and can prepare food.
